Junior specialist in stem cell and cancer research: 

A position of a research assistant within the Specialist series (Junior Specialist) is available in the laboratory of Dr. Sihem Cheloufi at the Department of Biochemistry at the University of California, Riverside. Research in the laboratory focuses on epigenetic regulation of cellular plasticity in the context of cancer and regenerative medicine. A strong candidate will have a BA or BS in biology or a related field and have some experience in molecular and cellular biology. Prior experience in computational biology is desirable. A successful applicant will conduct closely supervised research and provide technical assistance to the lab. Competitive salary and benefits will be provided.

Advancement through the Specialist/non-Senate academic ranks at the University of California is through a series of structured, merit-based evaluations, occurring every 2-3 years, each of which includes substantial peer input.

Research Assistant - Junior Specialist

A position of a research assistant within the Specialist series (Junior Specialist) is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jernej Murn at the Department of Biochemistry at the University of California, Riverside. The research in the lab focuses on RNA biology and epigenetics in neurons and stem cells.

A strong candidate will have a BA or BS in biology or a related field and have some experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology and genetics. A successful applicant will conduct closely-supervised research and provide technical assistance. Competitive salary and benefits will be provided. The initial appointment will be for one or two years with a possible extension for a longer period.
